Women's Suffrage

A Movement that Change the Lives of Many

Women's Suffrage refers to the women's right to vote movement. It had started in 1848 with the leadership of many women, including Carrie Chapman Catt. One of them being Susan B. Anthony who joined the group in the 1880s. The movement was created to fight for the rights of women. As seen today, this movement was indeed effective. However it didn't take until 1920 for women to finally receive the right to vote. Today women still struggle for rights like equal pay but without the leadership of the Women's Suffrage Movement, there would be nothing to fight for to begin with.
